VO2 Max, also known as maximal oxygen uptake, is the measurement of the amount of oxygen a person uses during maximal exercise. The test is performed while walking and running on a treadmill while connected to a gas analysis system and a 12-lead ECG. This test assesses current fitness levels, establishes a baseline for improvement, and identifies optimal heart rate training zones for the most effective and targeted workouts.
